today’s topic will cover Female sports reporter and commentators that have come a long way since the last 2 decades. they have made huge strides in acceptance in the sports industry that have been male dominated for years. You can look no further than Saturday’s NCAA football and basketball as a example of strides in the industry. On Sunday it is nothing to see NFL shows lead by a female analyst who is clearly educated and well briefed on topics and hold her own on a mostly male dominated male panel. It proves that women belong in this sports just as their male counterpart. but it also has courted controversy. There are some female spots reporter that seem to be dressed inappropriate to be deemed business attire. From open blouses to tight clothing that looks more like she is headed to the club than sideline or sports reporting. Most male reporters have on professional attire such as suits , shirt and tie or polo shirts. I would find it very hard to find a male reporter with his shirt open or skin tight clothing on and still retain his employment. Feale in the industry has to be held to the same accountability. it seems women reports in the sports industry are able to get away with this double standard because they are attractive , well proportioned and it is a generally accepted by a lot of male fans.. They are allowed in locker rooms where male athletes are half dressed but would a male reporter be allowed in a females dressing room in the same fashion. I believe probably not. there has yet to be one that was standing on national TV with half clad women athletes .
